Job description

As a Cleafy Sales Engineer you will be the technical face of the company to our prospective clients during the presales stages.You will be expected to work closely with Sales team members, product management and marketing, support, professional services, engineering to secure successful deal closures and to meet revenue goals.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience selling security solutions including: web application firewalls, application delivery infrastructure solutions, cloud-based security and fraud management solutions.Extensive travel within territory is required.

  • Explain Cleafy solutions at the technical level to prospective clients and be able to articulate Cleafy value proposition
  • Help prospective clients understand the value of our solutions and the benefits
  • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients
  • Gather technical requirements from prospective clients and mapping them to solution capabilities
  • Answer technical RFI/RFP for prospective clients
  • Plan and deliver proof of concept and pilots to prospective clients
  • Manage software evaluation processes to ensure successful technical closing


  • 3+ years of Sales Engineer experience in EMEA
  • Experience in selling and demonstrating web security solutions
  • Good understanding of modern architectures and web/mobile applications and knowledge of related languages (such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JSON, and AJAX) and technologies (such as web application delivery systems and content delivery networking)
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems and virtual/cloud environments (e.g. VMWare, AWS, etc.)
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) as well as technical presentation skills
  • Self-motivated – always finding ways to improve processes and increase revenue
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Great organizational and planning skills
  • "Whatever it takes" attitude and drive - do anything necessary to support sales goals

Other requirements

  • BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or related disciplines
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Knowledge of Italian, Spanish, French or German are a plus
